Description

The overall objectives of then project were to develop private farming and a functioning land market in conjunction with strengthening the EU integration process.


In order to achieve the above wider objectives, the more immediate objectives of the project were as follows:


  • to develop the Extension Services Network [ESN] as an autonomous body under the umbrella of the Ministry of Agriculture coordinated by the Agency of Slovak Academy of Agricultural Science [ASA] and the Slovak Agriculture and Food Chamber [SAFCH]

  • to develop the advisory capacity of the private sector, particularly within SAFCH and the Association of Private Farmers

  • to develop the training capacity of staff involved in the project


The target groups involved were extension staff in research institutes, the Ministry of Agriculture, Slovak Agricultural and Food Chamber and the Association of Private Farmers
