The TA aims to replace the existing medium-term RE policy with a new five-year framework, promoting a more competitive and deregulated alternative energy market environment.
The draft policy sets out strategies to harness private sector investment and encourage greater use of indigenous, clean and abundant resources including elements of hydro, wind, solar and biomass power generation at various scales.
