Landell Mills wins ' Individual Consultant of the Year 2009/2010'

Landell Mills Limited was contracted by the EC to provide assistance to the Government of Afghanistan for the implementation of the Kunduz River Basin Programme (KRBP) between 2004 and 2009. As a result of KRBP over 100,000 farmers have benefited from improved water resources and 20 irrigation schemes have been improved. It has been the EC’s s flagship project in rural development and water resources in Afghanistan over the last five years.

The recipient of the award, Jelle Beekma is Team Leader for Landell Mills Limited on the Kunduz River Basin Programme (KRBP) in Afghanistan and is a land and water resources management specialist. Thanks to Jelle’s technical skills, diplomacy, hard work and enthusiasm, the programme has been a tremendous success.

Landell Mills was additionally a finalist for ‘ Major Consultancy Project of the Year 2009/2010’.The British Expertise Annual Awards was held on 10 November 2009, at The Institute of Directors, Pall Mall, London.
