Post-conflict reconstruction and regeneration

Landell Mills has worked in a number of post-conflict environments including Afghanistan, Nepal and Sierra Leone. Infrastructure development is one of the first priorities following conflicts, and Landell Mills has been involved in such work as rebuilding irrigation schemes. Helping to rebuild government institutions and improve the coping mechanisms of the poor is equally as important however and it is in this area that Landell Mills has provided significant assistance. Working in such environments presents numerous challenges from security to logistical support, and Landell Mills can draw on past experience to ensure that services are delivered on time and within budget. Activities carried out in post-conflict reconstruction and regeneration cut across Landell Mills's core areas of expertise and have included water resource development and environmental work, rural development and food security, private sector development and institutional strengthening.
