Key Experts for the Implementation of the EU’s Nitrates Directive Project, Turkey

The Landell Mills Consortium has been shortlisted for a EuropeAid project in Turkey called the ‘Technical Assistance for Capacity Building to Converge Turkish Agricultural System to the European Greening Agricultural Rules and Improving the Implementation of the EU’s Nitrate Directive’. The project is expected to commence in June 2017 over a 24 month period. 

The main purpose of the contract will be to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock (MoFAL) during the convergence of Turkish Agricultural System to the post Common Agriculture Policies (CAP) reform on European greening agricultural rules (particularly Nitrates Directive).

Team Leader – Technical Assistance to ACP Secretariat for the Intra ACP GCCA+ Program and Climate Support Facility management

Landell Mills has recently submitted an Expression of Interest regarding an EU-funded Technical Assistance to ACP Secretariat for the Intra ACP GCCA+ Program and Climate Support Facility management.

A Brussels-based programme management unit (PMU) will be set up in order to provide Technical Assistance to the ACP Secretariat in the operational management of the 11th EDF Intra ACP Global Climate Change Alliance + (GCCA+) Program. Technical assistance will consist of supporting the ACP Secretariat with any issues pertaining to the coordination of the GCCA+ components of the Financing Agreement in reference. This includes monitoring, knowledge management and communication/visibility.  It will also consist of supporting policy dialogue and providing advice on requests for assistance under the Climate Support Facility + (CSF+) to ACP regional institutions and countries in order to complement and supplement the various components of the 11th EDF Intra ACP GCCA+ Program.

We are therefore looking for a team of 6 full-time experts, including a Team Leader, who is interested in the programme and available for a period of approximately 48 months (2017-2021).

Team Leader’s profile:

  • Master's Degree in a relevant subject, e.g. Environmental Studies, Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, etc.
  • At least 5 years' experience working in the field of environmental policy, climate action mainstreaming, climate change adaptation and mitigation, policy dialogue, capacity building, etc. in ACP countries.
  • Experience of working with the ACP Secretariat will be an advantage.
  • A demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage a team of experts and to monitor the quality of work performed by the team.
  • Knowledge of relevant EU policies and development cooperation procedures and instruments.
  • Fluency in English.

We are therefore seeking to recruit high calibre senior and mid-level communications experts with experience working with the EU and other donors, to work on forthcoming assignments.

The communications framework contract is global in its scope, covering any geographic area within or outside the European Union. Evaluation Experts for the EU-funded global framework contract

Landell Mills has been awarded, as consortium leader, a new EU-funded global framework contract. Under this framework, which commences on 1st March 2016, we shall be conducting strategic (rather than project or programme-level) evaluations of the EU’s cooperation with its partner countries, including both spending and non-spending activities, instruments and legislation in order to improve future policy and practices. For the forthcoming evaluation assignments, which are complex in their nature, we are seeking to recruit high calibre senior consultants (at least 10 yrs experience) and mid-level consultants (5-10 yrs experience) with strong experience in conducting in-depth evaluations for the EU and other donors.
