We are looking to recruit two Administrators to provide administrative support to two divisions within Landell Mills. The salary is circa £19,000, subject to experience and abilities, with 24 days holiday per year (not inclusive of Bank Holidays); both roles are full-time positions of 36.25 hours a week.

Expert Team for Technical Assistance to the Secretariat of the ACP Group of States for the Management of the ACP-EU Programme to strengthen Research and Innovation capacity in ACP countries

Landell Mills International has been shortlisted for the ACP-EU Programme to strengthen Research and Innovation capacity in ACP countries. The Technical Assistance Unit will have four team members and be based in Brussels. The project is expected to start in February 2020 with a duration of five years.

The programme is aiming at unlocking the inclusive innovation potential of ACP countries and support their transition into knowledge-based economies. This will be done through 3 interlinked components:

  • The ACP Research and Innovation Policy Support Facility;

  • The ACP Innovation Pilots Fund; and

  • The ACP Research and Innovation Hub.

The Technical Assistance Unit, will support with the implementation of the programme, more specifically with:

-        Administrative, financial and technical management of the programme and related grant contracts;

-        Establishment and Operationalisation of the ACP Research and Innovation Hub;

-        Communication and Visibility Strategy;

-        Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning.

Team Leader - EU technical assistance Facility for improving sustainable forest management

Landell Mills is looking for a Team Leader with expertise in Forestry (forest governance, forest sector policies/strategies, sustainable forest management/fight against deforestation, capacity building, investments and/or sustainable value chains) for a prospect project in these fields. The project will be based in Brussels, Belgium, but it is probable that working from a home base may be envisaged. A full ToR has not been finalised yet, but we are already collecting applications from interested candidates.

Minimum requirements are a Master’s or PhD in a relevant field, at least 15 years of professional experience, of which preferably 10 years is in projects covering the area of sustainable forest management, forest-based value chains and forest sector strategy/policy reform. At least 5 years of experience as Team Leader, preferably in EU-funded projects is also required. Familiarity with EU development policies, processes, procedures, methods and tools in general is requisite. Very good command of English and French languages (spoken and written) required.

The procurement process for the project is expected to be announced in July/August 2019 with a starting date in the last quarter of 2019 for a duration of 4 years.

International Resettlement Specialist

Landell Mills has been awarded an exciting Transaction Technical Assistance project in Punjab province in Pakistan entitled ‘TRTA 9458-PAK: Preparing the Greater Thal Canal Irrigation Investment Program’ with the Asian Development Bank. The project looks to prepare an investment program to assess the feasibility of a large irrigation scheme.

Experts and Researchers for DG ECHO EU-funded Global Framework Contract

Landell Mills International has been awarded, as consortium leader, an EU-funded global framework contract for the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO). The multiple framework contract is for services related to evaluation and impact assessment of the European Commission’s humanitarian aid and civil protection activities.

The evaluations will be complex in nature and will cover a geographic region, country or a horizontal thematic area of DG ECHO’s activities. Our highly competent consortium is made up of Universalia (Canada), American Institutes for Research (US), International Alert (UK) and Femconsult (the Netherlands).

Call for Experts: Disaster Risk Management Specialists

Landell Mills is looking for international specialists in the emerging area of disaster risk management to work on our agriculture and water portfolios on behalf on a range of clients (Asian Development Bank in particular) in the Asia-Pacific region. 

The specialist will have a post graduate degree in environmental science or natural resource management (or related) with training in climate change impacts with at least 10 years of experience working in climate change adaptation and/or disaster risk reduction. Experience of working in Asia would be an advantage. Preference will be given to specialists who have experience of disaster risk management for national agencies (for example, the USA based Federal Emergency Management Agency, and UK based Civil Contingencies Secretariat), as well as those with experience of managing or advising on community-led disaster management/response initiatives.
