Team Leader Animal Health – Ethiopia

Landell Mills is looking for a Team Leader with expertise in Animal Health and veterinary service for a prospect project in these fields, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. A full ToR has not been finalised yet but we are already collecting applications from interested candidates. Minimum requirements are a Master or PhD in a relevant field, at least 10 years of experience in the animal health/veterinary service sector with governments/public entities, preferably in Ethiopia or in South Saharan Africa, and previous experience in similar positions/projects. At least five years of experience as a Team Leader, preferably in EU-funded projects is also required. Previous experience in Ethiopia will be considered as a strong advantage, as well as experience in working on grant schemes.

The procurement process for the project is expected to be announced in June-July 2019 with a starting date in the last quarter of 2019 and for a duration of three years.

Call for Long Term Expert: Results Oriented Monitoring for European Commission DG NEAR

Landell Mills is part of a consortium that has been shortlisted for all four lots of the EU’s upcoming ROM contracts (Results Oriented Monitoring system for external aid interventions financed by the European Union):

  • NEAR ROM Lot 1 - Neighbourhood region

  • NEAR ROM Lot 2 - IPA II region

  • DEVCO Lot 1 - ROM for Asia and Pacific, Latin America, Caribbean, and Centrally Managed Thematic Interventions

  • DEVCO Lot 2 - ROM for Sub Saharan Africa

Our consortium has extensive experience across the geographic scope of these contracts and our consortium has recent and current experience managing large Results-Oriented Monitoring contracts for the EC.

As lead for Lot 1 (European neighbourhood) region, we are seeking candidates with strong M&E experience, preferably in the region covered under this lot (i.e. Neighbourhood East and South countries).  In particular, we are looking for experts for the senior, long-term positions on the team. The role would include supporting the management and overall coordination of the implementation of tasks, and working with other key expert members of the team. It would also include responsibility for the application of the internal Quality Control system.

The role would be full time and Brussels based, and the contract is expected to start in Autumn 2019, for an initial period of 1 year.

Landell Mills International has been awarded, as consortium leader, an EU-funded global framework contract for the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO). The multiple framework contract is for services related to evaluation and impact assessment of the European Commission’s humanitarian aid and civil protection activities.

The evaluations will be complex in nature and will cover a geographic region, country or a horizontal thematic area of DG ECHO’s activities. Our highly competent consortium is made up of Universalia (Canada), American Institutes for Research (US), International Alert (UK) and Femconsult (the Netherlands).

Call for Experts: Disaster Risk Management Specialists

Landell Mills is looking for international specialists in the emerging area of disaster risk management to work on our agriculture and water portfolios on behalf on a range of clients (Asian Development Bank in particular) in the Asia-Pacific region. 

The specialist will have a post graduate degree in environmental science or natural resource management (or related) with training in climate change impacts with at least 10 years of experience working in climate change adaptation and/or disaster risk reduction. Experience of working in Asia would be an advantage. Preference will be given to specialists who have experience of disaster risk management for national agencies (for example, the USA based Federal Emergency Management Agency, and UK based Civil Contingencies Secretariat), as well as those with experience of managing or advising on community-led disaster management/response initiatives.
