What our consultants say...

“While we are all here to make money, I do believe that Landell Mills put doing a good job first. Also, Landell Mills trusted me and gave me the freedom to use my initiative as long as it worked. Of course it didn’t always work but when it didn’t, I had a supportive management. We were a team.”

John Linton Consultant – agriculture and fisheries

“Every consultancy throws around the term ‘backstopping’ – but Landell Mills truly lives it. On previous contracts, I often felt quite alone in the field. But with Landell Mills, I felt supported at every step. The head office team didn’t just chase paperwork or scrutinise budgets – they brought real communications expertise of their own and were genuinely invested in delivering top-quality work.”

Dominique le Roux Consultant – strategic communications

“I've been with Landell Mills for over 12 years, and during this time I’ve witnessed incredible growth and positive change. What sets Landell Mills apart is the autonomy we are given – we are trusted with our work and supported with the backstopping and tools we need to succeed.”

Abdul Hamid Mohammed Rhametalla Consultant – agriculture, food security and livelihoods

“When working with Landell Mills, I valued being immersed in multiple sectors, and the lack of ivory-tower theorising. For example, assessing Southern African mining sites, mapping waste flows in Mozambique and stress-testing Rwanda’s Bilateral Investment Treaties clauses with investors.”

Manisha Dookhony Consultant – private sector development, finance advisory and investment

“I value the trust, independence and support that Landell Mills provides. The absence of micromanagement gives my team and I the freedom to operate with confidence and autonomy, while Landell Mills’ headquarters offers timely backstopping when necessary. This balance empowers us to deliver impact with creativity.”
