Call for experts: ECOM Coffee – Papua New Guinea

Due to recent business development opportunities, we're looking to recruit experts for an upcoming technical assistance project in Papua New Guinea.

About the project

The Asian Development Bank is procuring a technical assistance team to support the implementation of a loan of up to $100 million to ECOM Agroindustrial Corp Ltd and its subsidiaries (ECOM). The technical assistance will support smallholder coffee farmers in Papua New Guinea in family-based planning and climate-resilient coffee agroforestry.

It will also train all ECOM staff based in Papua New Guinea; extension officers; and field buying agents on gender, equity and diversity. Simplified demonstration farms will be developed to showcase climate-resilient replanting and farm management. The technical assistance aims to promote gender equality and women’s economic empowerment by strengthening their decision-making roles, and building their financial and technical skills.

We are seeking to recruit high-calibre national and international consultants to provide technical assistance. The roles include:

  • International Gender Specialist: 6 person months
