Landell Mills is pleased to have recently supported the development, production and launch of the 2019 EU-Indonesia and EU-ASEAN Blue Books. The activities were part of the communication and visibility contract on European Union (EU) cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which Landell Mills manages.
The EU-Indonesia and EU-ASEAN Blue Books are annual signature publications aimed at promoting and providing information on EU development cooperation, priorities and the progress of EU-supported projects across various key sectors in ASEAN over the past year. Landell Mills managed the development and production of both publications and organised the official launch events in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The EU-Indonesia Blue Book was officially launched on 28 May 2019. The event was attended by representatives from the Government of Indonesia’s ministries including the Minister for National Development Planning (BAPPENAS) who officially handed over the publication.
The EU-ASEAN Blue Book Launch was held on ASEAN Day, 8 August 2019, at the ASEAN Secretariat’s (ASEC) Headquarters in Jakarta. The event was attended by ASEC and EU officials, representatives of the EU and ASEAN Member States’ embassies, representatives of EU-ASEAN cooperation projects, international organisations, academics and civil society.
The EU-ASEAN Blue Book Launch was followed by the second ASEAN-EU Cooperation and Scholarship Day, which Landell Mills also supported the organisation of. The 2019 event included an exhibition featuring EU-ASEAN cooperation programmes; higher education institutions from the EU, ASEAN and their Member States; and ASEAN regional organisations. More than 400 students, graduates and young people attended the event to learn more about the tertiary education and scholarship opportunities offered by the EU, ASEAN and their Member States.
Landell Mills managed media relations, the production of visibility materials and logistics for all events.
