News 11.02.20 Framework contracts

Landell Mills is pleased to share details of six new EU-funded contracts that we have recently been awarded. Under the SIEA LOT 1 framework, for which Landell Mills leads a consortium with two partners, we are implementing projects covering a range of technical areas in relation to environment, climate change, agriculture, biodiversity and sustainable development:

Review of the DINU Programme Start-up

Together with Linpico as lead implementing partner, we are conducting a Review of the Development Initiative for Northern Uganda (DINU) Programme Start-up. The review will provide an overall independent assessment of the performance of the start-up of the programme, as well as recommendations on how to improve its implementation in the future.

Review of the Agriculture Sector Strategic Plan and Formulation of ASSP III

Landell Mills is providing a Review of the Agriculture Sector Strategic Plan and Formulation of ASSP III. Under this contract, our Key Expert team will review the work of the Strategic Plan and formulate priority papers to guide sector strategies and investment for that period.

Support for the Integration of Environment, Climate Change, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development in the Partnership between the EU and Tunisia

Landell Mills' in-house Francophone Division will lead implementation of this contract, which will contribute to increasing the capacity of both the Delegation of the European Union in Tunisia and the Tunisian Government to ensure the integration of environment, climate change, biodiversity and sustainable development in public policies in development cooperation programmes.

Mid-term Evaluation of the two phases of the BIOPAMA programme: BIOPAMA I - Protected Area Component of the 10th EDF Intra-ACP and BIOPAMA II of the 11th EDF Intra-ACP

The objective of this mid-term evaluation is to provide the Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO) with an independent assessment of the past performance of the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management (BIOPAMA) I and II programmes. These programmes aimed to build institutional and network capacity to strengthen policy and to implement well informed decisions on biodiversity conservation and protected areas management. The evaluation will commence in May 2020.

Municipal Finance Study on Energy, Climate and Environment Sectors in Eastern Partnership Countries (EaP)

Landell Mills is working with our consortium partner, Danish Management, to implement this study. The overall objective of this contract is to assess the gaps in municipal investments in the renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate and environment sectors in EaP countries and to present recommendations for future EU interventions. Through these recommendations, we will help to address the gaps and contribute to better sustainability of municipal investments in these sectors.

Technical Assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture

The implementation of this project involves another partnership with Linpico. The contract aims to assist the Ministry of Agriculture in leading the implementation of the Roadmap 2020 of the Uzbekistan Agri-food Development Strategy 2020-2030; this is a continuation of their ongoing work in Uzbekistan.

We look forward to continuing our successful cooperation with both our consortium partners, EU representatives, and beneficiaries into 2020.
