Landell Mills has been recognised as highly commended in the International SME Business of the Year category at the British Expertise International Awards 2020.

The awards ceremony celebrated the best of UK expertise in international development, infrastructure and capacity building and promoted the value of British expertise globally, following Brexit and the push for a global Britain. The winners were announced on the 21st of October at the Virtual Celebration and Networking Event, which was livestreamed on YouTube.

The International SME Business of the Year award was made to the UK organisation that was judged to have achieved the most impressive overall business performance internationally during 2019, with fewer than 250 employees. Judging was based on the clarity of international strategy, achievement of revenue and provision of a strong case study.

The International SME Business of the Year award was announced by Sue Watkins, manager of SME Relationships at British Expertise International, and Julie Lilley, Chief Executive at the Federation of Small Businesses. Landell Mills was highly commended alongside Crown Agents Bank, with The International Governance & Risk Institute (GovRisk) winning the award.

The event was opened by the British Expertise International CEO, Tom Cargill, and featured a welcome speech from the British Expertise International President, HRH The Duke of Gloucester. The Minister for Africa at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), James Duddridge, delivered the keynote speech.
