Landell Mills implements two new Climate Change Resilience Programmes under SIEA Lot 1 framework contract

News 07.10.19 Framework contracts

Landell Mills is pleased to announce our implementation of two EU-funded contracts delivered through the SIEA (Services for the Implementation of External Aid) Lot 1 framework contract for Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and Resilience: Short-term Assistance to Support the Formulation of Actions in ACP Regions under the Intra-ACP Climate Services and Related Applications Programme and the Mangrove Forest Reserves project in Guyana.

The short-term assistance assignment to Support the Formulation of Actions under the Intra-ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States) Climate Services Programme is implemented in collaboration with Linpico. Two Experts will support the formulation of Actions under the Intra-ACP Climate Services programme adopted in 2018 which boosts adaptation and resilience to climate change in ACP regions. They will undertake consultations and working sessions with the ACP Regional Climate Centres in order to develop or refine the drafting of actions.

The Mangrove Forest Reserves project will support climate change adaptation. The expert team will provide a draft Mangrove Forest Reserve Management Plan for two locations along with technical support to key stakeholders for the establishment of the two mangrove reserves. This will be achieved through a legislative review; a site identification, selection and gap analysis; a biodiversity and social survey, and a ministerial declaration and publication of Mangrove Reserves.
