Natural skincare brand launched under Landell Mills’ Tuvalu Coconut Rehabilitation – Technical Assistance contract
A natural skincare brand, Fenua Ola, has been launched under Landell Mills’ Tuvalu Coconut Rehabilitation – Technical Assistance contract.
The Tuvalu Coconut Rehabilitation – Technical Assistance contract, running from May 2024 to November 2026, has an objective to contribute to improving the enabling environment and governance of the coconut sector in Tuvalu in order to increase sustainable agricultural productivity and economic growth in the country. The contract also aims to support the rehabilitation of the coconut industry in Tuvalu, and the implementation of the Market-Driven Plan to Rehabilitate the Tuvalu Coconut Industry.
On Thursday 2nd October 2025, as part of the celebrations for Tuvalu Independence Day, five products were launched by Fenua Ola:
- A coconut and vanilla oil to milk cleanser.
- A coconut and pistachio stellar body oil.
- A coconut and frangipani glow face oil.
- A creamy coconut every body balm.
- An extra virgin coconut oil.
The launch was hosted by the Minister of Natural Resources and Development, Hon. Saaga Talu Teafa; with attendees including Prime Minister Hon. Feleti Penitala Teo and the Ambassador of Hungary to Tuvalu, Dr. Gabor Tapas Nagy.
Fenua Ola produces small batches, exclusively in Tuvalu, with a focus on eco-friendly, ethically-sourced materials, and biodegradable or reusable packaging. Extra-virgin coconut oil, the base ingredient of their products, is locally produced using traditional fermentation methods, and is rich in skin-loving fatty acids and antioxidants. All product formulations were developed and tested in a certified Good Manufacturing Practice cosmetic lab in New Zealand, ensuring all products meet international standards and comply with Cosmetics New Zealand and European Union cosmetic regulations.
