Project Executive - Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Division

We have an exciting opportunity in our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Division for a Project Executive to manage our EC Results-Oriented Monitoring (ROM) contract. This €13m EC contract is coordinated in Landell Mills’ Brussels office, from where field-based monitoring missions are organised across the whole of the Asia Pacific region. Since January 2015, we have contracted some 100 experts to monitor more than 400 EU funded projects and programmes in 45 different countries across Asia, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Fiji, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Yemen. These experts work across a broad range of thematic sectors, such as Good Governance, Human Rights, Nutrition, Food Security, PFM, Private Sector Development and Trade.

The role we are seeking to fill is for a Project Executive who will be responsible for coordinating between Landell Mills’ Brussels and UK operations, providing administrative, financial and logistical support to ensure a smooth delivery of the ROM contract.

Frameworks Operations Coordinator

We are recruiting a full-time (36.25 hours per week), permanent, Frameworks Operations Coordinator. Landell Mills currently leads, or is a consortium member, on a number of framework contracts with the European Commission, UK Department for International Development and the European Investment Bank. As Frameworks Operations Coordinator you will have particular oversight of Landell Mills’ framework contracts and liaise with our clients, consortium partners and consultants to ensure effective delivery of contracts within these frameworks.

Nutrition, M&E/MIS, Education and Communication Expert - Malawi

Landell Mills is looking for a Nutrition Expert with a focus on M&E/MIS, education and communication for a prospect project in the field of Nutrition and maternal and child health, based in Malawi. A full ToR has not been finalised yet, but we are already collecting applications from interested candidates. Minimum requirements are a Master or PhD in Nutrition, Human Health or related fields, at least 10 years of experience in the nutrition/ health sector and in Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries, and previous experience in similar positions/projects. Previous experience in Malawi will be considered as a strong advantage, but this has to be coupled with international experience in at least three other developing countries.

The procurement process for the project is expected to be announced in May 2018 with a starting date between August and October. The project duration will be 3 to 4 years.

Call for experts in agricultural financing

Landell Mills is calling for experts in agricultural financing for the preparation of programmes to support the implementation of loan operations in agri-food value chains. The loan will provide longer term finance to support investments by final beneficiaries (SMEs, including agricultural cooperatives and MidCaps) in the target horticulture (including nuts) and wine value chains. Key private sector gaps in investment that are anticipated to be addressed by the loan finance include orchard and vineyards and investments in processing, post-harvest handling, packaging and cold storage infrastructure.

Previous experience of working in the Caucasus such as Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, the Western Balkans, the Eastern Neighbourhood region or Turkey in agricultural financing or agribusiness is a considerable advantage. Additionally, experience of working on technical assistance projects funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB) or EU institutions is an asset.

Experts and Researchers for new EU-funded Global Framework Contract

Landell Mills International has been awarded, as consortium leader, a new EU-funded global framework contract for the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO). The multiple framework contract is for services related to evaluation and impact assessment of the European Commission’s humanitarian aid and civil protection activities.

The evaluations will be complex in nature and will cover a geographic region, country or a horizontal thematic area of DG ECHO’s activities. Our highly competent consortium is made up of Universalia (Canada), American Institutes for Research (US), International Alert (UK) and Femconsult (the Netherlands).

We are seeking experts and researchers with expertise in evaluating geographic and thematic areas of humanitarian aid and civil protection.
